With the rise of the gig economy, many employers are gravitating towards hourly hiring. Almost 55% of the workforce are hourly workers. This is a problematic trend since a firm may choose to minimize the number of hours each employee works for the sake of profitability, which lowers the workers' wages. As a result, they have little job security and a fluctuating income. Additionally, with the growing labor force, it is becoming more and more challenging to find an hourly job.

Instawork matches you with skilled workers for temporary or permanent positions so you are never short staffed.

In 2016, Sumir Meghani and Saureen Shah founded Instawork, which uses a unique algorithm to connect these individuals with available jobs. Bartenders, event servers, bussers, concessionaires, dishwashers, runners, cooks, sanitation, general laborers, pickers/packers, merchandisers, and warehouse workers are among their clientele. While customers looking to hire workers pay varying amounts based on the type of job they are hiring for, candidates have free access to their services. These clients who have employed workers by using Instawork's services include the stadiums of the New York Yankees and Mets. The business cultivates commercial prospects for professionals and small enterprises around the world. It operates most effectively when it links enterprises looking to reduce their permanent personnel to hourly-paid employees who are in need of a source of income. The organization completes its job by having customers notify it a few hours before their employment needs. These requirements could be occasional, seasonal, or temp-to-hire. Customers and employees are connected, and the latter accept shifts in accordance with their availability. The business handles all additional formalities, such as documentation, payments, and insurance.

What makes Intsawork a game-changer is that it doesn't charge the job applicants; instead, its corporate clients cover this fee. In addition to the booking fee and the worker pay rate, the company charges each employee between $7-8 per hour. This fee enables the business to generate revenue and be self-sustaining. Each year, Instawork generates $5.4 million in income. In more than 25 major American and Canadian cities, more than 3 million workers already use Instawork's services to find employment. Their software has an impressive 4.85/5 rating on the app store. The business is at the top and ready to achieve "unicorn" status in Silicon Valley. One problem with this company is that they do not currently have the capacity to spread their services outside of the United States and Canada, thus workers in other countries are not able to use their services. Numerous companies, including Spark, Benchmark, Greylock, SV Angel, and Google Ventures, have made investments in this company over the past seven years since its founding. The company's primary rivals include Qwick, which is comparable to Instawork and is thought to be a superior alternative in the food and beverage industry. Qwick also has a faster pay rate, although its services are currently only offered in limited cities. Another rival is Wonolo, which has a larger selection of employment opportunities and doesn't require applicants to have specific skills, which is a bonus. Even Wonolo pays out quicker than Instawork, just like Qwick. On Wonolo, cancellations with a minimum of twelve hours' notice are not subject to penalties; however, cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice subject the worker to fines. In this instance, Wonolo proves to be more caring, making it a potent alternative to Instawork. Additionally, Thumbtack, Upshift, and Helpware are rivals. In conclusion, Instawork is a very strong company in its field, performing at a high rate and linking employees to reputable companies to earn a good income, with its free-of-charge applications for workers, making it a game-changer.
