For years, people, governments, and organizations have worked to manage the many waves of misinformation and disinformation circulating through digital platforms. The availability of misinformation and disinformation in the form of coordinated online campaigns offers an unprecedented challenge to the information ecosystem and the public's ability to consume information. Never has research based, data driven intelligence been more important.
Osavul, founded and led by CEO Dmytro Pleshakov, is part of this revolution. The Kyiv based company provides AI enabled media intelligence tools for organizations, commercial and non commercial, should stay ahead of misinformation, false narratives, and threats to reliable information. Through sophisticated data analysis of social media and digital news sources, and AI powered narrative mapping, the firm’s tools enable organizations to observe conversations and provide organizations useful data to understand the rising tide of misinformation. Osavul aims to make the digital information space safer by helping organizations identify harmful narratives and develop appropriate counter responses before those narratives take hold.
The platform works by constantly scanning open source media text, video, and audio and applying natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning algorithms to discover trends, emotional tones, or coordinated inauthentic behavior. This allows clients to understand how particular narratives develop, who is amplifying those narratives, and how each may influence brand or political perception. Osavul’s dashboard is user friendly and provides actionable insights as they happen, allowing decision makers to take strategic countermeasures. The company’s suite of services supports numerous clients: from public sector agencies hindered by foreign influence operations to corporate clients wanting to protect their brands from disinformation on social media. Services include narrative dashboards, media monitoring systems, and threat detection alerts, all designed to provide clients with insights and a holistic view of the digital information ecosystem. Osavul supports Enterprise System integrations to allow its clients to automate the detection of suspicious activity online and respond to news trends to ensure that their communications strategy is effective. Founded in 2022 at the height of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the firm was established to combat the torrent of propaganda and misinformation that arose in the context of the war. Osavul began as a national security effort and has since developed into a highly scalable AI intelligence platform that has global significance. Osavul began focusing on detecting and analyzing Russian information operations, while also developing one of the most sophisticated narrative tracking systems in the world. Now the company plans to leverage those technologies to assist institutions worldwide in establishing trust and resiliency in the digital environment.

Osavul has rapidly expanded and received significant financial support. The company secured €2.78 million in a seed funding round led by 42CAP in 2024, with participation from u.ventures and SMRK VC Fund. This funding round was valued at approximately $12 million and showed investors that the firm has significant opportunities for growth. In 2024, Osavul expects to have revenues between $2.5 to 3 million, largely from contracts with private companies in Europe and North America, and some contracts with government and non governmental organizations. Based on heightened demand for disinformation analytics, Osavul expects to surpass $6 million in revenue in 2025, making it among Europe’s most compelling AI startups! The firm has grown from a small founding team to over 70 employees by 2025. Kyiv remains the main office for the research and development, but with an intention to create a better position in Europe and North America, the company has expanded office presence in Warsaw, Berlin, and Delaware (USA), its. This strategy has helped Osavul establish partnerships with cybersecurity companies, policy think tanks, and corporate clients on multiple continents.
Osavul follows a subscription and contract driven pricing model that varies depending on client type and overall scale of data usage. The bulk of revenue is generated through enterprise and government contracts, where the pricing model is based on data sources monitored, active dashboards, and narrative intelligence report orders. The company designs its plans for corporate clients in tiers. Basic monitoring, advanced analytics, and the full scale intelligence support function during a crisis or reputation management are all part of the offering. State agencies and NGOs are provided custom solutions charged on long term partnership agreements rather than a per seat license (as with the corporate clients). This hybrid, or combination model recurring subscriptions and high value enterprise contracts allows for maintaining consistent cash flow while scalable profit. As long as global demand for not only information security continues to gain traction, and the growth of disinformation analytics rises, Osavul’s revenue diversification pricing structure will allow it to steadily expand earnings in the several years.
In a space occupied by competitors such as Blackbird.AI, Logically, and Crisis24, Osavul provides a differentiated offering through its unique combination of AI driven analysis, linguistic intelligence and geopolitical insight. While competitors are largely focused on social media content moderation, the firm provides a more expansive, intelligence enabled solution first tracking entire narrative ecosystems, not isolated disinformation incidents. Its commitments to transparency, user friendly design and depth of analytical granularity provide Osavul with a distinct opportunity with respect to both accuracy and usability.
The company intends to go further into the private sector in the near future with customizable modules for brand reputation monitoring, election integrity protections and geopolitical risk assessment. It is also interested in exploring partnerships with global cyber security firms and AI ethical organizations to enhance its threat identification systems and its responsible AI usage framework.
As stated by the founder and CEO, Dmytro Pleshakov, Osavul's purpose is clear and simple: "Our mission is to bring some measure of order to digital chaos, and empower organizations to protect against manipulation and misinformation." Osavul is redefining the field of media intelligence and the future of digital trust as they grow their team, leverage a strong financial position, and pursue a global scale of operations. As the firm continues its growth, Osavul becomes more than a line of defense against misinformation, Osavul becomes the new first step toward creating a global standard for truth verification and information resilient. Osavul is pioneering the future of endorsing information integrity and resilience through its combination of artificial intelligence, ethical data practices and forward looking strategies.
